I don't personally use twitter but I know people that have used it and love it. What I look for in a social networking website is it has to be effective and easy to use.

I've been a slow twitter convert. I have grown to like it for a few reasons.
It helps keep my up to date with friends in distant locations that I don't see very often.
I follow several leaders in the software development field and I can stay on top of the latest ideas.
Sometimes when I vent my frustrations about a product, one (often many) of the developers will offer ideas and solutions.
My friends can see what I'm up to, and it makes an interesting way for an impromptu beer meet-up

Yes, twitter is awesome! I have hundreds of followers already. It's a good way to drive traffic to a site.

I believe twitter is really an awesome online community. It was like a mini-blog.

I am on Twitter and I am loving it. It is such a simple tool to connect with like-minded people. I also use it occasionally for marketing purposes such as sending people to my blogs.

I like the simplicity of the site as compared to other social networking tools like Facebook and MySpace.

when I first signed up for twitter, I thought that it would be really good for my site and its traffic, and when I have been on the site for quite some time, it did give some good traffic, although, not much are targeted visitors, it is a fun website though and you can access it anywhere and integrate other websites in it..like mister-wong. you can show your SB post in twitter with it.

I signed up and posted one update. Must have been a great update as I've received two or three emails per day since then of people who are "following me". A majority of them look like spam usernames and I'm in no hurry to attract that kind of traffic to my sites, won't be bothering with the service again

Might not be for everyone, but I use Twitter and enjoy it. I mostly use it to network with people I wouldn't otherwise get to talk to. I use it to strengthen existing relationships and build new ones.

With tools like TweetDeck and Twitter search among others you can filter the Twitterstream to see what people are saying about a particular topic. That's great for market research or simple information gathering. Many people also have interesting things to say or point you to great content. News often breaks faster on Twitter as well.

It's pretty easy to spot people trolling for links back to their site. You can get traffic through Twitter, but I would make that your main focus of using the service.

Yes I use twitter. I'm trying it out right now.. so let's see how it goes. Sometimes people follow u doesn't mean they will go to your site. Well... we all hope they do

I do. Mostly just using the search to find people talking about stuff, then messaging them. It's a quick fun way to get new visitors/fans & answer some customer questions at the same time

I have been using Twitter for a couple of weeks now and I'm loving it. I have received a steady stream of traffic and several promising leads from it. You can also learn quite a bit by following leaders in a particular area on Twitter.
