I was considering to use iTag - http://www.itagg.com/ to integrate with my online dating community site but as far I know, no service is free. The cost for bulk SMS message is still 3-6 pence.

There are loads of free ones, i just dont know if they are any good !

DO remember though, they do eat a lot of your bandwidth

As veikoh mentioned iTagg is a good choice. They are a well established company used by many charities and organisations, including the BBC. If your looking for a free script then I can't help you

From what i can gather the sms scripts are pretty useless now, and you need access to an sms gateway, which is not free !

I am looking at itagg now, says £50 a year on the website which isnt bad really, gonna look into it more mind !

£50 per year is for incoming shortcode (I need this to implement MMS picture uploading for my http://www.toppicturedating.com site so if someone wants to share the cost, feel welcome to PM me).
For outgoing SMS you just need to register and purchase some amount.

http://www.cbfsms.com do offer free webmaster tools which allow you to do this I believe?
