Starting a social networking site

Hey.

I want to start a social networking site, in the same sort of vein as MySpace and Facebook etc.

However, I am a complete and utter novice when it comes to HTML and web hosting etc.

Does anyone have any advice on how to start such a website, with mininum expenditure?

I would be incredibly grateful if anyone could help me. I am determined to make this work.

Theres a few free scripts out there, and few cheap ones like PHPfox, your best googling mate until you see one you like.
