When id a good time to open?

So Im about to launch my first BIG project which is AWDForums.com. Here is what I have done so far:

- Found my domain
- Bought a vBulliten and started developing
- Designed/Skined, made all the buttons for it - it now looks ready to be opened
- Figured out my promotions and contests and got them up
- Made a couple generic accounts and posted with them so the forum wont seem too empty when people see it
- Ive registered on MySpace and have currently 300+(and growing) TARGETED friends within a day. They all seem to be excited about the upcoming forums - But is this ENOUGH friends to put out a bulliten with?

My question is what else should I do before I open the doors to help ensure the forum will be big?

Should I give it a couple more days and keep adding friends on myspace until it reached about 1000?

In my opinion you can start now, you have built a strong base to build on and you seem to have a good plan how to get it going.

Go for it!

You don't need to wait. You can launch right away.

You should also set aside some of your budget for advertising the forum. MySpace users alone aren't going to do it for you.

The contest is a good idea and will hopefully bring even more traffic during the launch.

Thank you guys. I guess I was just scared as this is my first big project and I dont want it to crash.

I just opened the forums
