Help me figure out my contest!

Hi,
I need help picking between these 2 contests, what I should use as a grand opening contest. I will be giving away a set of lowering springs for the users car of choice.

I think that most people will think that getting 20+ referals for "just" 5 potential entries just isn't worth it... So IMHO the second contest is better because it isn't a matter of luck, so you can get many more referals then from the first...

I agree. If 3 referrals is worth 1 entry, then 21 referrals should be worth at least 7 entries, but realistically it should be more proportionally than the 1-3, so more like 10 would be better.

Plus, you should have speculations on what type of referrals count. 21 referrals who never post at all are way worse than 1 referral who posts a few times.

I think Contest 2 will work best and give you the results you are looking for.

Second one is better. Also you can base the winners on maximum number of posts instead of referrals. You can give 1 point for each post. Plus when a referral is made, it gets members 10 points.

contest two is better, but make sure they give quality refferals and that they are not fake

I would be counting the referals manually and looking at there IP and a user who posts less than 5 times wont count.
