Do you hire paid posters or would you consider doing that?

I have done it for some of my forums, and it really gives you a good start in many ways.

I haven't tried this, but don't see anything wrong with it.

If you want to fill your forum and make it look busy then yeah, go for it.

I recommend it to get your site off the ground and to ensure regular posting.

I used to run a forum posting site.

Anyways, I find them useful for building up your forum before the actual launch.

Paid posters will not work. Forum has to be global. Forum is all about content, content, content! I suggest carve a niche forum.

I feel that paid posters will not work at the beginning. I think it is more effective to get a team to do posting. :shuriken:

I had very limited luck in the past with this.
It was hit or miss, and the good people were never available for a long period of time.

I used to do it, but I decided that I much rather enjoyed creating my own sites than doing it for other people, so I decided to stick to my own forums.

If i ever make a forum i'd like to get 10-20 members on my own and then pay 2-3 different paid posting companies to post. I reckon it'd work better if they all interacted + then i can evaluate which company is worth the most

I think that paid forum posters are a great way to start up a forum. It makes the forum look more active than if there was no posts there :-P. I think that I'm going to start a paid posting company, but I'm not sure I'm ready to invest or so. Maybe later :-P

Paid posting is good if you want to through away your money, I personally would save my money. I've ran large forums, you start something, tell some people, spread it with word of mouth, and eventually you can grow over time. There is no reason you would need to pay someone to post, you can't start up a forum with some posts yourself? Then why would you start a forum? I have started up forums of different niches and as long as you know about it you can do fine starting up small, then it will grow like a wild fire.

What I have discovered is that it woke up old members that have not posted in a while, and that makes the content flowing even after the paid poster has stopped posting.

I have used ForumShock twice on my martial arts forum. So far, it's been positive - I did get few new members I desparately needed and they started few interesting threads that lead to more activities among other members. The only bad thing is that once the posters reached agreed number of posts, you never see them again.... but that's what's expected going in.

If you need paid posters your topic ust not be very good then. Create a forum that people would be interested in posting in.
