Which is the best forum software?

I your view which is the best forum software?

For me its Vbulletin but if I was going to go free then SMF:shuriken:

also your question can be more specific. What is the best free forum software or What is the best paid software.

I think Vanilla is quite good, especially for smaller forums (those with a fewer number of categories). It's very lightweight, so doesn't tax the server

Other than that, I always liked Invision.

I used phpbb when I first started out and liked it well enough. I found the phpbb gang a lot of fun and very helpful.

I've been using vb for a few yrs now and it's my forum of choice.

I love IPB and I use it for most of my forums. I think vBulletin and IPB both works well so, I do not know which is the best really.

For free ones I would go for, PHPBB.
