I agree that business cards are FAR from obsolete. There are many times you're interacting with someone away from the computer (assuming you leave the house) and you want to get attention to your site/business. I have two types of business cards I carry, one that is professional with my contact info and everything, the other I call a "throw down" card. It just has a QR code on one side and the URL of my website on the other. I leave them on the counter when I'm at the coffee shop, throw it down at a bar, put it in the corner of the mirror in the men's room, etc. You'd be surprised how much traffic these things generate. It's guerrilla marketing, but it's doing the job. Just make sure whatever card you get it has a QR code somewhere on it. Even homeless people have smart phones these days. And make sure your "professional" card looks cool. If you use some cookie cutter design template people will toss it as soon as you turn around. It's your chance to make a first impression and you want them to hold on to it.
