I think a lot of it depends on what kind of product you're trying to market. Let's say we're going with the banner stands you have linked in your sig. Something that may be appealing is talk about the quality/service you offer but throw a line in there like "call for our current promotions".

Quantity items definitely have their place as well.If you’re looking on the high end of the price scale, make sure that these promotional products will really pack a punch. The promotional offer brings quick traffic and users to your site but quality matter in long run.

Price always comes first in our business. Promotional offers and discounts bring the customers in and quality service/communication keeps them coming back.

The answer is YES

It is not an either/or question you Promote EVERYTHING your business offers, and you TEST what gets the best response.
Nobody can tell YOU what will work for YOUR business and your customers. We can certainly suggest things but ultimately you have to decide what works for your business and what doesn't.

I think it depends on your target audience esp. countries. If you are targeting people at your country then offline marketing is a good idea but if not you are just wasting your time on that.

So Ebay (based in America) are wasting their time advertising on television in every country in the world?

Same for Google, Amazon, Yahoo, Ford, Gillette, BMW (Germany), Durex, British Airways, KLM (Dutch Airline), Lufthansa, Quantas, etc, etc, etc .........

Chris. Those you enumerated are targeting the whole world not a specific country.

Certainly BUT they all have specific OFFLINE campaigns aimed at individual countries, and they do NOT run the same campaign in every country.

Their advertising campaigns are targeted to the people, the culture and the language of the people in that particular country.

If your website sells a product that has global appeal or sales potential why should you NOT use all manner of advertising, global, local, online and offline?

I agree with this. It is true that quality is in a long run.

Well, in my point of views ..as in evryday's life people look for best things for them so when quality matters the traffic rushes itself towards the quality. so offer only quality, promotion will be done at its own.

Why does your signature say "London Business School" when the link is a redirect to a dodgy looking "EThames Graduate School"? It wouldn't be a sly attempt to cash in on the good name of a decent educational establishment would it? Because it's only shady semi-legal places that do that sort of thing. The sort that cater to illegal immigrants and get reported to the Home Office. The sort that charge enormous fees for crap courses.

You may get clients for the crap by performing brilliant promotion, but crap will not keep the clients at your business, so you need the quality as well.
