I was indexed in MSN within a week. Not that that means anything or matters or slightly pertains to this contest.
Usually takes about 3 with Google from what ive noticed recently.

Same here. MSN > Yahoo > Google.
but.... you get what you pay for in way of traffic.

I normally find that Google indexs faster than Yahoo. I have never had much of luck with any of my sites with Yahoo, but MSN is definitely the quickest to index. For me at least, I would say MSN, Google, Yahoo...But as you mentioned, Google is also a much better source of traffic than the other two, followed by MSN for me, and then Yahoo last...

MSN indexed me really fast too. Not only that, MSN indexed all pages. Yahoo is the most perplexing of the three. Can't seem to figure Y out.

Anyone who is competing in the contest can include their contest page on my links page here: seoclown.com/retsambew_dash_klat_for_charity/links.htm
To get linked all you have to do is contact me with a brief description of what charity you have chosen to support and why you chose them, and include a link to your contest page.
Email that to me to webmaster(@)seoclown.com and we will list your retsambew dash klat for charity page as soon as possible. All pages are welcome and will be listed with a link to your contest page.
Nothing is required in return, no links backs, its just a free listing to support the charities.

It is cliquey. The SEO industry is full of jackasses who try to belittle others, especially newcomers. They want to keep the status quo.
But it fails. SEO A-Listers try to steer the community, but the masses will do as they please. DigitalPoint is a good example of this. A-listers dissed that place, called it "riff raff" and wrote it off. But now who has the traffic? DP does, and Shawn has more mindshare than 90% of the SES speakers.
Mindshare is dictated by masses, not the "A list". So screw the "A List".

Because of the rule set I don't expect near the participation of some of the other contest but lets not make it to gosh darn easy for the winners of this contest.

I'll sticky an announcement if you want, Tim. I've always considered V7N and WT to be "friends".
You interested in any more sponsors? I'd love to throw some cash in he pot.

Yea, I gotta admit I'm a bit jealous of DP's growth but Shawn deserves it and is a great visionary. His repete visitor and viral marketing techniques via his tools and such have served him amazingly well. Nevertheless I'll always be proud of Webmaster-Talk, our members, and what we have accomplished and believe both of our forums could reach that level via the right approach.

Two more contributions added!
Total prizes values are now at $5,560.30
There is still minimal competition and plenty of time to get involved. 4 of the top ten listings don't qualify but you could pass those with a little effort (shows the ranking power of aged / authority domains IMO).

I would like to understand the rules before I am trying this seo out.
Am I have to buy a new domain? or I can use sub domain ex : site.mydomain.com?
I read the rules buy it is not clear for me because I see some websites do that and used sub-domain.

dore1970, you may use your own domain name if it was registered after April 1st, however no subdomains are allowed in this contest. Your best luck would to be just registering a new domain, unless you have something registered after April...
