Its fairly simpe, the script does something along these lines.

it has all users (who participate in the adsense thing) api key it also has the WMT admins api, it displays each persons ad on a percent so say 10% of page views will show the last person to post's adverts, 50% of the time it will show admins, 25% of the time will show the thread starters.

Forums always have a VERY low CTR. There isn't a good way around it. It certainly doesn't hurt to put your code in though.

agreed its worth while anyway..

was asking as thought it may be an idea for a forum I run, but I think I will probably look at impression ads for my forums

sorry i was a little more than i have i have actually made $7.08 since i added my code (and it was associated it with a channel)

You'd think with almost 5000 posts and tons of thread creations, the payoff would be a little higher.

Not that we're here to make money from WT posting or anything (It's not my primary reason), but......... it'd still be nice.

As I've explained in a few previous threads, if Tim turned this off, he should inform everyone that he did so, so not to mislead anyone into believing they can actually earn from posting here.

I'm still not receiving any impressions, So it seems like that is the case.

imo ... work on either reverting or completing the market place before worrying about this minor issue... I noticing a massive drop in real, non-spam activity in the webmaster talk marketplace since the merger

While the feature itself may not be as significant (and yes, I think the marketplace dropoff is the biggest concern), it's still an issue nonetheless that deserves some attention, IMO, to not mislead guests into thinking this is an ARS forum, and not informing regular members that it no longer is.
