I am looking for your suggestions in the future of Webmaster-Talk.

Any new forums you would like to see?

Would you be interested in a new revenue section (not a forum) were I would review affiliate programs and networks?

Would you be interested in a tools page where I would link to tools to help build and improve your site?

Or, put my own tools on this site?

Should I keep this site strictly a forum or and separate content and help pages??

Any other ideas?

Just wondering....

Yeah I have been doing that these last few days. I have installed two cgi scripts and right now and making a website template for one of the people I installed a script for.

I am also getting a link in credit. *grin*

I came out better with the trade than I would have if I had asked for cash.

The Barter System is really great, huh!

Would tutorials be out of the question? Not necessarily to teach a broad topic like html, but maybe for some specifics within topics like that.

I think a review section within the Webmaster-Talk.com > Lets Make Some Money > Affiliate Programs and Affiliate Networks forum would be really good.

A tools section would be good. Watch out brain burp! This is where you could post the tools you have or people could make requests for specific tools. Like banner makers, generators, etc.

A freelance forum sounds good too. This one might take some thinking on how to keep someone from spamming the others.

Good ideas everyone!

I am seriously considering the freelance/barter idea.

One way to reduce the SPAM would be to require members to have a certain amount of posts before posting a request or offer (I was thinking 15 posts minimum). That way they would have to get involved a little in our forum before offering any services. I would also set rules for the format of posts.

Now for the name:

Freelance and Barter ??

I believe barter would be better than freelance.

And the number of post thing: I don't really believe that anyone who requests a service will spam. So I think the minimum number of posts should only apply to offering services.

Can you set up the Bartering Services forum so anyone can read, but only people that have a certain amount of posts can post?

I think erdnis has a good point, so that question might not work, unless one section would be for requests and another section for offerings.

I could go with either Barter or Freelance, or both!

I would be definitely up for bartering. I just got done with a barter redesign of a website and now because of it I was offered cash paying jobs to redesign a site every 2-3 months.

That's happy.

Just wanted to let you know that a Barter and Freelance forum will be coming soon

But it will have a couple rules applied to posting including a minimum post count...
