Bad customer service from SEOBook basically.
I had problems getting access and was emailing with Aaron for help. He told me to go through the paypal process, I did, it charged me $100 instantly even though he said it wouldn't. He refunded, but then said he was withdrawing his prize offer to me because "he had spent too much time on me already". He had only replied with one line responses to my help request emails, so I'm really just perplexed by the whole thing.
Tim and Lee tried to straighten it out but to no avail. I was given a free SEO book ebook as compensation. At least its not nothing, but still really perplexing.
I was nice and good I swear.
Personally I would say this is a good sign to other sites putting on contests not to use SEObook as a sponsor in the future.
I'm not really angry. I mean, I was refunded my money and have a ebook, and the other prizes of the contest are so awesome that its easy to over look this one bad experience.
I had just wondered if I was the only one with bad luck out of our group. Maybe if I wasn't the only one Aaron would be more willing to help instead of discarding prize winners.
On a side note.. Tim and Lee have been absolutely AWESOME! And the other sponsors have been totally awesome as well! This has been a huge positive experience for me and I look forward to working with the sponsors in the future.
The future looks bright.
