Hey Andrew,

I sure busted butt to get this and he's been really supportive.

I ended up submitting over 70+ articles, and since i was totally
sure on the criteria I just wrote my tail off day in and day out,
so much so that I submitted 20 articles in one day

ALthought most of those were written over the course of a couple
days and then piled up on my desktop. I promised my lil sis a
shopping spree with some of the winnings if she'd help me research
what info ppl wanted to know...

I know a lot about running a biz (thats what my husband and I do)
but i wasn't sure what to write about. So she went through forums
looking for questions that ppl had and i wrote and wrote and wrote
that pretty much sums up all the effort.

As for sacrifices.. ther was a lot of typing during prime time shows
I was pretty much attached to my computer for the entire month.
My husband and I run an internet TV show and a couple online businesses
so the day time was reserved for daily tasks for those sites, but i ended up
giving up the neighborhood BBQ, a day out on the boat, along with loads
of night hours just typing up articles...

I just really wanted a Mac Air and was willing to write until my
fingertips fell off to get it... looks like tamar can write loads more
thought before loosing her finger tips

During that last week, when everyone was posting how much work
they've done, I was so extremely nervous that I doubled my article
count so that I couldnt say to myself "if only i tried harder"

I worked until I couldnt so that even if i didnt win there was nothing
else i could have done - and i wouldnt be able to beat myself up over
it...

I am extremely glad i did make it and thank tim & lee for such a
great contest (i also thank my husband for letting me know about
this awesome forum)...

I look forward to meeting more members and learning form everyones
experiences, as well as sharing mine.

oh yeah...

I received my DS yesterday thursday and have been battling my son
on our other DS... this thing totally rocks!

I've received an email for the shirts, SEO training, and the text link ads...

I've been accepted as an affiliate with max bounty, but no word on the prize

but thats about it. No word on other prizes like the Mac Air that I am DYING
for!

I've received contact by Max Bounty a few minutes ago. They set up an account for me and the $500 will be deposited into my bank account on the 15th. OMG! I thought this had to be used through their advertising program.. but NO..

they are paying us! OMG! OMG! OMG!

Honestly though, I think I'll still use the money for advertising.. or at least.. most of it.

I've contacted both my affiliate managers at RocketProfit and Advaliant and the iPod touch should be going out today or tomorrow and the Flip camera should be going out some time this week.

Still no word on the MAcbook Air though.

Hey Chaunna, great post. I think you encapsulated the point that most people miss, that your internet success (and success in life in general) is a matter of employing the risk-reward equation.

every success comes with its level of pain and if you are willing to go through it, you'll get the reward (often if it's a scalable product or something that provides leverage - like a product or a successful affiliate campaign) that effort bears rewards many times over...

I bet the macbook air is just the start of your journey in bringing either SFA or your next project to the next level.

It'll be interesting to see what's in store...be sure to post an update!

IMO, I've taken part in Lee's previous contests and have always got all the prizes promised, just give them a little time to sort out the logistics of working with multiple merchants for the prizes and getting them to you...

I just received a email from the Revolution theme but I think there's been a mistake.

In the contest it says:
Speaking of blogs, the MOST AMAZING paid theme ever is now yours from Revolution Theme and it isn't just one, but the complete multi-pack!

However in the email they want us to pick a version that we will receive multi-uses of.

I'm confused.

Never mind, they corrected it. If you make sure you contact Brian he'll send you the multi pack. I have mine now. YAY!
