First off, this is a really great contest with some awesome prizes. I just had one question about the blogs. Where is the example blog you are referring to? I'm sure I'm gonna feel like an idiot when you tell me, but oh well.

Just curious about some more details on the articles. Are there quality requirements? Are you looking for exclusive rights? Also, will you include a linkback to the author's homepage? Are you going to be checking to make sure the articles aren't lifted or scraped? Will multi-page or long articles still count as a single article?

Yes, the articles do need to be helpful to the readership and good quality. We do ask for exclusive rights, it will become property of Webmaster-Talk.com, but we don't mind a single link back to the author's site of choice. We will be checking the content to ensure they are unique as well. Article length must be 500 words, and longer articles won't get extra credit. You could break them up in to a series of articles.

I know you said about posts having to be quality, but can posts which arnt necassarily tech realated be counted, like in the generl forum, i have started a couple of treads which are for fun to get more people posting can those posts be counted or at least the first one i posted as it all helps boost the forum?

This looks like a great comp, would love to win.

Yes, general forum posts can count but we don't want the majority to be from "off topic" discussions. We want the majority to be from Webmaster topics.

If you make 5,000 posts, they will be verified. We have tools to help us do this.
