Quick question. When you say "100% original content", can I add a short quote to support my article? I mean, quite frankly, any good article has to be based off of other (reputable) sources.
Thanks

Man, my laptop is so rubbish, seriously a Dell Inspiron 510m does not run Photoshop well. Not only does the Air fit in a manilla envelope, but it is much more powerful than my current system .

I can relate to this. My laptop is a Pentium 1! Photoshop running on it is a pipe dream. I would SO love to be able to work while I'm traveling.
The Mac Air doesn't have a cd drive though, which I thought was a little odd, but I haven't used a Mac in years so what do I know. As a true WINDOWS HATER I'm sure I'll adapt.
Is it a sign of 'obsession' that I've already watched Mac Air videos of it being simply 'unpacked' from its box on YouTube already?

Yes, they didn't put a DVD drive in to save space, I believe. You're also not meant to be able to replace the battery, although apparently there is a mere 19 screws stopping you. Doing so would almost definitely void your warranty though.
Don't worry - watching unboxing videos on Youtube is not a sign of obsession (I hope), because I watch them so often. Seriously, I must've spent hours watching people unbox and use the new digital camera I want (Canon EOS 40D).
I truly hate my laptop, it has some almighty specifications: Intel Pentium M 1.5ghz, 1GB RAM and....a whole 40GB hdd! I'm mostly rolling with under 1GB of free HDD space, which really doesn't work very well at all .

The point of the MacBook Air is that it is completely wireless (besides power although there is such thing as wireless power). That means no other outdated (or soon to be outdated) tech is included: ie. the cd drive.
If you want a movie, you download it wirelessly from iTunes. If you absolutely need to install software from a cd, you can do so by putting it in another machine and using the "Disk Sharing" feature to mount the disk on the MBA and install like that. (disk sharing is windows and mac os compatible)
I think that in the near future, their iPod Touch and iPhone will be wireless-syncing compatible to go along with their MBA, but at the moment it doesn't and is not in any plans (as far as I can tell).

I assume a quote is fine as long as it's not too long. (Probably better to wait for Lee though to know for sure)

From the PM's I've had with the Admins it seems it has to be 100% written by YOU. That means no articles bought by others or written by others, and quite possibly include quotes of any length. Since that's what 100% would mean.
2% of quotes, however small.. wouldn't help I would think. Of course you can wait for a official response, but personally I'd say just to play it safe, don't do it.
I don't see why you couldn't name names though.
I'm sure eventually there will be a official response on this.

Getting excited about the prizes!
I just checked out the Flip camera because I wasn't sure it compared to the cheap *** generic digital camera my husband and I bought last year.
WOW.. all I can say is they certainly didn't give us enough info about the prizes. This is really awesome!
The Flip is actually a video camera, and its not a bad one at that. I also found a great video of it being used by Oprah.
Here's the LINK to that.
All I can say is that I'm even MORE excited (if that's possible) about this contest and its motivating me that much MORE (if that's possible either) to work my cute butt off to win.
YAY!

You can include a quote, but we still want 500+ words that you wrote.

Ok then, I will be adding a little to many of the articles already submitted. Just when you finally review my points look for the one that says EDITED in the subject line...
Thanks

Ok, I resubmitted all the articles that I used quotes in. Now they all have at least 500 of my own words with quotes added to make them be more like 600 of 650 words total.
Thanks admins!
BTW, I am really liking this contest! I have procrastinated working on my own website for a while now as I don't have much time and this contest has gotten me jump started (mainly because there is a nice fat prize if I win!). So I thank you again!

I have a question about the articles that i hope was not already asked: Can we post the articles in our own blogs or in article directories if we give copyright credit to webmaster talk. Obviously we would like to use the articles we wrote to get links and we don't mind acknowledging webmaster-talk for the copyright. Or is it the case that if we give you the article, it is yours and we cannot use it in any way? Thanks in advance

That's pretty much how I am right now too. I've had to take a day off to update a few of my sites. I really didn't want to, but knew it would cost me money if I didn't!
Now back to writing more articles!
