I don't like it that much.. it's short and doesn't add any crURL's.. but it's your site, you do what you want

I suggest the #6 URL preset

plus, don't forget to add the relevant replacements.. you can blend it all in the navbar like I have I have here

vBSEO Optimization Tips - vBulletinSetup Forums
If I had the navbar buttons under the breadcrumbs, I think it would be better for SEO, but I like the look now.

cheers

Keywords in URL's do nothing for you. On top of that they look horrible when you have a long thread title and if you do remove stop words or limit the words in the url the url doesn't make sense and looks bad overall. Not to mention if you have to edit the thread title then that results in a 301 redirect of all the old urls that people have used to link to you.

Glen, you can disable that when you post by unchecking: Automatically retrieve titles from external links

and that's only your opinion. I never said "Fact: Keywords in URL's do nothing for you." It's safe to assume anything I say is my opinion. However I would welcome any attempt at you providing evidence that Google or other search engines would place any kind of sizable weight on something that is easily manipulated. I have already provided enough examples of things that are bad about having keywords in the urls.

Also, please remove your affiliate link in your first post. It clearly says in bold and red that affiliate links are not allowed here at the top of the editor.

my bad, about the affiliate, I have even read that b4 but didn't think of it when I started the thread, sry

I've never seen anything that stats that keyword url's can be bad other then say if your site is about for example, "ford cars" and ppl are posting threads about " chevy moters" or something, but even with that, I think it would help cuz it's close to your topic.

I'm not trying to call you out or anything, but I just haven't seen info on how url's like site.com/t2342 would be better then site.com/thread-title ?

cheers

The thread url isn't altered if the thread title is changed. It's short and simple and looks better than a long url with keywords. My opinion of course.

Im with brandon on this one, but once again my personal opinion. Ive learnt to live without vbSEO as I prefer just making my own manual changes

Having had it both ways on my forums, I have to completely agree with this. The important thing is to have static URL's, which this URL structure does, in a very simple fashion.

I also agree that I like when its /f5 or /t29548 or whatever instead of /forumtitle or /threadtitle. I don't have vbseo but thats how I would have it set up if I did.
