Hi,
I am trying to send & receive the data between two .net windows applications (residing on my local machine) using socket programming. In this one application is acting as a server and the other is acting as a client. When my client application receives the data it displayes garbage values like @^ etc. can anybody tell me what could be the reason?

probably because you cannot send and receive on one machine via the same port.
