It's been recommended to me by a couple of friends, and while I hate learning new software, people tell me this one might be worth it. Any thoughts?

yep, its more powerful than a v8 engine attached to a food blender but just as complicated to get working. My advice is start small, learn ASP.NET and VB.NET (its the DNN native language) and then progress up. It uses a data abstraction layer that took me weeks to get my head around!
