rich text box! where r u?

i think im losing my mind. i must have left my brain at home today....

why cant i find the rich textbox control in Visual Studio 2005????????????

Under 'Common Controls', or 'All Windows Forms'

no. it isnt there. its not in my toolbox.

but i think its not stndard for VS2005.

i think its an add-on.

It's not an add on cos I've got it in my toolbox and it's a default install of VS2005 with no add ons.

i am looking in toolbox > standard.

i have looked in all the other catagories too in vain.

by the way, this is when i am setting up a web site not a windows application!!!!!
i see it when im editing a windows app, but not when im editing a website.

Ahh. That'll be because there is no native rich text control for the web. A rich text control on the web is actually an IFRAME which has been put into 'edit mode'. You will need to download a pre-made one off the web. THere's loads out there, some free, some paid. See my thread in the Coding Forum.
