SELECT year FROM table1 (without duplicate)

Hi !
Good Day..

How do we select , for example a year in a column name year without duplicating it...

i want to list down all the year for activity in a dropdownlist... but the years duplicated

such, 2002,2003,2004,2002,2002,...

and i have to create new table to generate the require years...
