.NET framework

Someone at work told me that I should download .NET framework version 2 since I only have version 1.

Is this necessary? Will it mess up my computer? I'm clueless about this.

Yep either use windows update or from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

.net 1.0 and 2.0 have some difference in between control.. if you develop your app in 1.0, you might need to change some code when you convert to 2.0
