That doesn't surprise me. Different people tend to use different search engines and while it's not fair to generalize it seems that Google users tend to be more tech savvy and so tech heavy sites may get a lot more traffic from Google no matter where they rank.

I would expect that people searching for 'ftp shell script' would be more likely to use Google than MSN.

There are going to be sites though that would probably benefit more from having MSN traffic. Depends on the site and the topic.

I've also found the MSN users click a little more often on AdSense ads, probably because as a group they are less tech savvy than their Google brethren.

You're probably right. I didn't think of it that way. Every 'developer' I know pretty much only uses google.

My site is technical in nature too and I find the majority of my search traffic comes from Google. I think my pages do rank better in Google, but I also think more people looking for the information on my site would likely be looking for it through Google than through MSN.
