I used to have MSN 6.2 but since I upgraded to 7.0 I've been having issues where the Games tab always says "Service temporarily unavailable, please try again later". I've tried re-running the installation file to repair but this doesn't fix the problem.
I then tried to remove MSN and reinstall, but the uninstallation comes up with an error message saying Msnmsgs.msi is missing (even when running from the latest downloaded INSTALL_MSN_MESSENGER_9X file). Add/Remove Programmes says I have the following: Messenger Plus! 3, MSN 6.2, and MSN 7.0 (it's in there twice). Not sure if Messenger Plus is related but that uninstalls. MSN 6.2 refuses to uninstall because Msnmsgs.msi is missing, and one of the MSN 7.0's gives me the error message that it does not exist when I try to uninstall it.
If you know what files I need to physically delete to get rid of it and then reinstall I will try that. I've already tried removing the MSN folders in C:\Program Files but the games issue is still there when I reinstall. MSN always reinstalls as version 7.0 no matter what upgraded version we're up to.
So please, can anyone please be of assistance?? Thanks!!!
