Ok so I have only had a site up for a few months now, but I have a problem. See I am happy I got a second page ranking, but the problem I have is that it is for my forums.

And the page that is ranked is the forum memberlist, not the actua forum start page or index page.

Nothing, apart from keep improving your site.

Make sure all the inside pages of your forum link to the homepage of your forum for 1.

Then get a couple links to the homepage of your forum from other sites.

Then wait.

It just seemed weird that the page would bring up just the member list.

Get as many links as you can pointing to your home page and that will soon change.

Submit your site to directorys as these are an easy way to get free one-way links and then also try and find other good quality relevant links from other sites too.

Article submission is another good way of getting oneway links to your site.

With forums adding a little content somewhere on the home page is always a good idea as this is something forums lack and content is important when it comes to SEO work. Just ad a couple of paragraphs about your forum using keywords you want your site to be found by in a box near the top or down the bottom or something.


Dont keyword stuff it though make it a readable paragraph that dont look like you have only added for search engine rankings.
