MSN is the fastest search engine. It only take a couple of days for a new site to ranked #1.
Old sites get downgraded.

To rank highly in MSN you only need your keywords in a couple of backlinks and in your title.

MSN is fast
Yahoo is efficient
Googl is Money

MSN also can brign good traffic.

MSN has been sending some visitors my way. Google also sends me a few visitors. The site is new and doesn't have a PageRank yet.

it's easier to get on top on MSN but you also fall easier

as pointed to by others, onpage optimisation and a little off page optimisation can bring good results with MSN.
google needs more off page optimisation and so takes more time to get good rank.

one of my site top in MSN (in top 10) and 22 in Google. but traffic is low from MSN.

Yeah, I think when you hit a good keyword on Google you might get more traffic from the same search query on Google do to large number of search querries Google produces compared to MSN.

MSN is a good guage of your overall SEO effort. Rankings on Google will come but they take a considerably longer timespan to achieve. (In my case anyway) So if you site comes up #1 on MSN keep working becuase the Yahoo and Google rankings will come eventually. They just take alot more work.

A started this thread a long time ago, I'm leaning more toward a search engine is a search engine.

In the long run or in a user perspective, I think Google is better since it uses more factors than other search engines to refine the sites that they serve for each query.

So, in theory, Google would serve the most accurate results. But, I don't know how much practical this is since I use Google only and not any other search engine. Well, MSN in fast and is prone to more mistakes.

Yes MSN is the fast search engine, it takes a week to ranked the keywords. MSN can bring good result and can boost traffic for the site

The weird thing is that Google brings about 99% percent of my search traffic. Yahoo, MSN, AOL and ASK make up the rest. And on MSN I occupy the top two results for the same keywords that I occupy 2 & 3 on Google.

Maybe it's indicative of the popularity of Google or that people use it to search for the kind of information I provide.

Right, I notice the same trend in my search visitors. Google usually sends the most visitors but for this month Yahoo is #1 with Google a close second. I mean only 2 more visitors from Yahoo than Google so they are almost tied. MSN produces about 80% of the traffic that Yahoo and Google do in my case.

Yahoo is getting pretty quick to find my blog articles as well.

Google is slowly but surely realizing my site's presece and ranking my site for keywords. Google is good for finding sites that are well established within Google's ranking system. But it takes Google a while to allow new sites to rank well for keywords unless they are non competative keywords. It's probably an antispam measure that they put into their ranking algorythym.

I used to rank highly in Google and they sent tons of traffic. But they are so darn fickle.

Yahoo provides good, stable traffic.

For me, MSN is just a bonus. I don't know if it's so easy to rank highly in MSN.

It seems they don't update their content as quickly as Yahoo or Google (the cache).

Who here remembers the Infoseek days? That was times with easy ranking. Still, I do not feel MSN is noticably easier to rank on than Google? Perhaps just me? Perhaps because there is a lot of competition
