Just starting a poll here to see about how often people use the new MSN search and why (or why not). Post your why replies here.

For me it I use my SEO tools to query all of the big search engines to monitor website placement, but I still use G most often when I search.

I've never used MSN, or Yahoo come to think of it, for searching, prefering Google for that. I guess it's like a bank, once you find one you like you tend to stick with them for life.

I agree, until they start charging a fee when it is supposed to be FREE checking.

I use MSN regularly. I probably use Google a little more, but lately it seems like MSN provides more relevant search results, giving you exactly what you are looking for, usually in the first page of results. Sometimes you have to spend alot of time digging through the Google results to find something useful.

I use MSN a few times a month, Yahoo more often. I never use Google for personal search, only go there when I'm researching SEO-related matters and need to look at sites with a high PR.

According to the poll it's almost a 50-50 split. I'm sure before MSN's change the numbers would have been a lot different.

I don't understand your reasoning. Microsoft developed Windows, so why wouldn't they point the search to MSN.

The only time I've used MSN search was to see where my site listed in the SERP's. I prefer Google.

i only use msn to check clients positions in it and to see if it has improved any. I find msn a waste of time - you can forget 3 or 4 string search terms in it thats for certain.

I use Google if i want to find something. MSN is currently miles off target

Every time I use MSN I realize how useless it is. I only use it for checking backlinks, because the results produce by it are very bad compared to google

Google for me but, mostly because its so easy.
In KDE, a simple alt+f2 gives a run dialog, type gg:search term and Konq open with the search results. Life can't get any easier.
If I'm in Firefox, ctl+t and tab to the search box.

Either way, getting from the need to search to having results is automatic. I rarely have to actively visit Google to search.
