Hi

Hmm what strategies are they then ? my site is number one on msn for very good keywords and i didnt optimise it for msn, i just concentrated on good quality content !

The same is slowly happening for Yahoo, so i dont see how there is a special optimisation process for msn search really

I personally have found that MSN like new stuff, be it new sites, new content, new pages, new inbound links they like new stuff.

Whenever I start working on new sites they always top MSN right away before they get anywhere in the other search engines then over time they just drop off. MSN used to like the tacky side of things lots of inbound links whatever quality and loads of keywords but not so sure anymore.

Hope that helps a little.

Yes, I am sure, If you can submit your site to TOP RANKED social bookmarks sites as well as create a profile @ blogger,linkedin.com and get a link to your site from there. I am sure your rank on MSN will get increased.....

Now that MSN is BING -- note when your site does show up in search they have a POP-UP menu on the right of your listing. It's to your advantage to look closely at what parts of your web page Bing grabs in this summary. You'd want to make sure the text shown there entices people to visit, has a call-to-action, encourages them to explore more and click through to your site!

Some of my sites had horrible or so-so snippets grabbed by Bing, but with a little tweaking now the search result pop-ups say exactly what I want them to see.

From my point of view MSN is mostly focus on site on page optimization so if you are good in optimization than it may take you at top position in MSN.
