about adbrite service

I am currently using adbrite and there are some questions that I don't understand,

1. I used flat rate ads for $5 per day what does that mean does that mean that if there is something show up on my site I get $5 for that space for that day?

2. if is true then why in my profile still not showing any revenue?

if anyone can kindly tell me what is flat rate ads from adbrite... thanks in advance!

That would probably mean nobody has bid on your ad space. I'd suggest switching to network ads.

None has reserved that ad space on your website. That is why you are not receiving any earning. Switch to the network ads. You will get incentives as CPM
