Is it legal to use things like cars in pictures for backgrounds, and clothing brands, movies, bands, stars, etc. Could they say you were using their name, product to earn money?
I don't think they care. You are actually promoting them, and helping them. And if you're talking about layouts, you're promoting them even more because more people use them.
