Is reposting RSS feeds illegal? Well ...
That really depends on the license. If there is no implied license (or no expectation that you'll be republishing the feeds), the ownership of the content falls to the content creator. Unless you have permission to republish then it is technically copyright violation.
Technically.
Of course, 99% of the sites that publish RSS feeds will encourage (and, indeed, expect) you to republish their feeds, because it gives them more exposure; however, many large publishers hate RSS republishing, because they skirt the border of Google's duplicate content rules, and can affect their traffic in the long term.
