Who has experience with these things or knows a good place to get a good generic one to build off of? I will be perfectly honest and say that I am not real sure what I should have on one.

I have a new advertiser that asked for this and I was completely clueless. They are filling a generic one that they have out and emailing it to me, then I can make revisions, sign it, and send it back to them.

This is only for a one much test to see if they want to advertise long term with me so I cant get taken too badly, but I need to get this figured out for the future, and what better place to learn something like this than from the "earners forum"

It's a contract agreement. It has all the details of the ad on it. (name, address, billing info, about the ad if you're the one creating it or not, the rate, the duration, the size of the ad you're publishing, terms, any discounts etc.)

I'll see if I can find a good example.

My experience with insertion orders: It is the advertiser who sends the insertion order to me, I sign it as a contract, providing the campaign particulars (impressions, length of campaign, date of launch, size, placements) and send it back.

That is what I have done in the past, so this through me for a loop. They will be sending me one this time as well now as I simpl told them I didn't have one.

It seems goofy that you supply the insert order because by its own label, its an order to insert advertising on your site. The advertiser is placing the order on your site. They are doing the "ordering".

Even Burst sends Insertion orders to me as the publisher. And the big brand guys, they send them to me.

So if in this case they aren't sending one to you, I'd put it in a simple email (like burst sends) unless you want to go fancy and put it in an invoice looking fax.
