Been Sued?

I was sued for selling ebooks I'd bought with "Resell Rights" - that was when I was like 13 tho, so my parents had to pay $500 - a little more wiser now.

I haven't been sued, but I've been threatened about 2 years ago. I'm thinking about creating an LLC to help protect against this as well.

I was threatened once, because of stealing content :S So I had to remove it, and that pissed my visitors off

I was sued for copyright violation. The guy basically took my content and put it on his domain, then served me.

Not fun.

I haven't been sued, but the MPAA sent me two letters to stop leeching movies.. I'm not sure if that counts.

Nope, never been sued, and I live in New Zealand, I don't think US people would even bother to sue me, plus I don't do much wrong.

I get threatened every once in a while, but no one is ever serious. The costs associated with a lawsuit are enough that I wouldn't be concerned with anyone short of a major corporation.

If someone does shell out the bucks to get on the docket, you'll get served and have plenty of time to work it out before it goes to judgement. It takes very little effort to threaten a lawsuit, but substantially more to initiate one. By then, most people will just get frustrated or bored.

Being a legitimate business owner and a responsible person goes a long way as well.
