My client wants an HTML page that lists all the files in a specific online folder dynamically. The contents of the folder will be changed by the user so I'm not able to make a static list and I'm not sure where to begin...

Most servers have the option to bring up a directory listing when you just type in the directory name without specifying a page, for example:
http://www.mysite.com/folder/
would bring up a list of files in that folder. Most however are set to erdirect to an index.htm page instead of displaying the directory listing.

Alternatively, you will need to use server side scripting (ASP.NET, ASP, PHP, ISAPI, etc, depending on what your server supports)
