1 DB record accross 4 tabs using AJAX.

Hi All,
I have a flat table with about 60 fields in the table and want to be able to split this data accross 4 AJAX tabs. I can do this fine but how do I allow the user to modify data in TAB 1 for example, and then all data in TAB1 gets submitted for update automatically when the user clicks on TAB 2.
Basically, I want to auto submit the current Tabs data when the user clicks on a new TAB but only be taken to TAB2. I want to do away with a save button on each TAB.
Hope the above makes sense...Not even sure if the above can be done. :
