Version 8.10 is the latest and I would submit the best version released thus far. If you have specific questions or criteria, I would be happy to field them as best I can.

I'd agree with 8.10. It took me a long time to get used to it from V7, and I'm not sure I still know everything I can do with it, but I like it lots.

I haven't seen version 8 myself yet - like tucson, I still have SO much to learn in PSP7 I can't imagine it could be missing anything!! I'm happy with it and think I'll stick with it for now.

I agree with the first two posts, 8.1 is by far the best. Jasc has added many new tools and features and have enhanced many of the existing tools. I find that almost every function I used in 7.X has been somehow improved in 8.1.

Sounds cool...once I get better at PSP7 maybe I'll have to go for it - course, by then they'll probably be out with 9! Lol...thanks for the input, though!

Pleased to meet you, Montero!

Personally I was very disappointed with PSP 8.1, but have purchased the software, just rarely use it. The PSP (version 7.1) Anniversary Edition is I think the nicest program, fairly easy to learn. Plus it came with extra tools (plugins) from Flaming Pear, Virtual Painter and Eye Candy. I purchased this software for my son in law which he caught on quickly.

Best Wishes,
Giselle

I agree, I dont like 8.10 but enjoy using version 7 much better! I have tried them and decided 7 was the much better choice!

Pleased to meet you, inspiration100!

I have so much fun with PSP7, and I am still learning the software. In a very nice way, I conveyed my feelings to the Jasc people about PSP8.1, I had the distinct feeling they had heard the same comments, , nevertheless, they are great people!

Best Wishes,
Giselle

8.1 seems to be looking at similar formatting to Photoshop early versions. It did take a little time to find my way around it, and still now I will have to revert back to Photoshop because I cant find how to do something again in PSP. I dont mind 8.1, but I much preferred PSP7 for what I used it for.

I'd like to see the next version have better vector applications.

I understand that the Photoshop is a real nice program, more expensive then PSP, personally I would buy all the graphic software programs and plugins if I could...really have some fun! Of course nobody would ever see or hear from me again!

Have you tried the PSP User Group for tutorials on version 8.1?
http://www.pspug.org./ Personally I haven't bothered myself with 8.1 tutorials.
