Help with creating black & white vector images from photographs

Does anyone know where I can find tutorials on how to do this in PSP 7? Check the link out. These black & white vector images were created from actual digital photos. Wanna do this in PSP. Thanks in advance.

Very nice work. If you find a shortcut on how to do this, let me know!
In the meantime I would use the Pen Tool (hope that's what it's called in PSP7) and draw over the image.
I use PSPX. I have copied many things using the Pen Tool and it works fine.

iIf you go to the artist's website, she proclaims Illustrator, and I think that it has a function to make such a vector image, but you'd probably have to do some cleanup.

If you want to do it with any version of PSP, you'll just have to do it manually (although I'd like to be proven wrong here)

If it is LineArt you are after, rather than Vector drawing, you could use the Xero-LineArt plugin.
Available from www.xero-graphics.co.uk.
Like with everything in life, practice makes perfect. There isn't a one-click solution.
I have done this using the Pen Tool (Vectors), it's a lot of work.

There is definitely some skill involved in creating those images. However, if you look at them carefully, there is only black & white -- literally. No other colors. So one way (without trying it myself -- just talking here) to try this is to reduce the color depth.

Image > Reduce color depth > 2-color palette. I tried this just now with a photograph of my kid and it worked fine. It didn't turn out as well as the ones on the site, but with a little time preparing the image before the reduction in bit depth, I see how this could be done very well.

Or experiment with Adjust>Brightness + Contrast>Threshold, start with the slider on the left and keep going until you like the result. It will need a bit of blurring which can be done on a duplicate layer and the opacity lowered to suit :-)
