Can I stop aliasing on shapes?

I'm using PSP 9.

I get slight aliasing along the edges of irregular shapes drawn using the pen / line tool, with or without connect segments and with anti-aliasing on.

The aliasing remains after saving them as transparent gifs with the same background colour as the area the shape will go on, and remains after putting the shape on that coloured background.

The aliasing probably wouldn't be noticed by a lot of people just scanning a page but it's still not a 100% clean edge.

I can get around it by drawing a fresh line in the background colour over the aliased area but it's a nuisance.

Anyone got any suggestions for fixing it up when I make the shape?

I seem to be getting the same aliasing you are. So the good news is it's a reproducable problem. The bad news is I haven't yet found a solution. I'll keep looking though.
