Well I'm no marketing expert, but I just clicked your homepage and tbh I was ready to give up reading within a few seconds. Your homepage starts out by telling me what you think I already know or have done - that's not an attention grabbing start. There's an awful lot of waffle in the first 2-3 paragraphs. I'm saying this because I'm assuming you want me to stay on the site - but as Chis asks - where do you get your revenue?
If your revenue is thru ads, I don't see them.
If your revenue is through buying something after tarrying awhile at your site - I'm afraid I don't feel like staying.
I have been reading a great book which is about getting a message across called Made to Stick http://www.amazon.co.uk/Made-Stick-I.../dp/1905211570 - if you want people to stay at your site, you could use a few ideas from this book. If you want visitors to click away via ads, make them more prominent.
Also, you might want to consider the impact of things like "Please check times for services at the churches in Victoria by calling them or looking for their websites. " - what's the point of people coming to your site for this? Can you get the info on a feed or frame into your own site? Take a tour of your own site from the point of view of an outsider. Good luck!
