Hi everyone,

Just wondering if any of you have any experience with using the website "visitorboost" to drive traffic to your website? In weighing up the pro's and con's it seems like it might be worth a shot, simply because its that cheap and at worst you get more people on your site which should help boost your rankings in google, but can it backfire on you or anything? (ie, banned from google)

No I dont have any experience with them.I prefer to drive traffic by using my own techniqes myself.In most cases the sites sell traffic send you bot traffic that never help you to make any profit.If you want to spend money for buying traffic then spend it in right places like Google Adwords.

Totally and utterly wrong!!
Google (search) has absolutely no idea how much traffic arrives at your pages.

Only if you run Adsense on your site/pages, as it will be deemed "using a scheme to artificially inflate your traffic/click-throughs), and your Adsense account will be closed.

I've tried traffic type websites in the past and the quality of that traffic was absolutely horrible. Get traffic using your own methods like ishuvonet mentions, and you'll hopefully end up getting much higher quality traffic.

Buying visitors means inviting lots of untargeted visitors to your site which helps in increasing only the bounce rate of your site and nothing more.

Yes they are a waste of time.
They get paid 2c to visit your site and just click on the home page and they are off.
Better to spend you money on adwords or Facebook ads or banner ads.

Are all traffic-related sites doin' bot stuff or it depends? I always thought that 99% of those visitors driven from such sources are bots and nothing more.

yh insted of paying money, do some SEO and spend some money for SEO work. Can find many online SEOs. And also can do by our self... IF the traffic from SE then the visitors quality will be high..and conversion will be increased..

There is no relation between how many people you get on the website and the google rankings!
You have to build the links to increase the Google Rankings, like Social Bookmarking, Article Marketing, Directory Submissions etc

I think the content in the site and the keyword relation will boost the visitor to visit your site again and again.

100% agreed. I bought similar service like "visitorboost" for two months... I didn't know that they are all bot traffic. When I figured that, I stop taking their service... It's useless. Google adwords or Bing campaign or facebook advertising can bring 100% genuine traffic to our websites/blogs.

By the thought that you'll be paying for the traffic isn't an unethical approach to marketing. It's inorganic and will likely cause possible consequences.
