I thought I would start this thread to see what drives traffic to your site?

I'll start:
1. Member news letters
2. Posting in forums
3. SEO

4. Create policies that build trust: customer service, code of ethics and newsletter privacy policy.
5. Ask your web master to name each of your pages using a keyword you have supplied them with.
6. Offer added values on your business web site that make sense to your business and ideal client. This can include affiliate programs, books, and recommended links to web sites.

building relationships with other influential people with a product/service similar to mine and leveraging that where it becomes a win/win for both involved.

I have the mind set "think outside the box"

Hope this helps....

1. Running competitons, and then submitting your competition details to portals such as www.theprizefinder.com

2. Putting your website address in your signature, then posting on forums.

3. Buying Text Links on targetted websites.

Give away something of value to your target users.
Specific calculators or training tools work particularly well because other sites will link back to you if the quality is good enough. It's also worth making the training tools downloadable rather than embedded in the site. That way they get passed around to potential new clients by email and send them back to your site.
