Ok so I found this site that will guarantee you visitors each day. So say like 10 bucks a month they will send you 3000 visitors, is this a scam?

Because I could really use some traffic to my forums.

They'll probably send you traffic, but it probably won't be high quality. Most likely it's some kind of Pay to Surf system, so the visitors will show up at your page for a little while and then leave.

Since you're trying to start a forum, you need the kind of visitors who will actually register and stick around to post. If you want to spend some money for forum traffic you could always go with a pay-to-post system, but I wouldn't waste your money on low quality traffic.

I agree with Tomcat. I've paid for something similar for a site that I developed around 3 months ago. It was to get people to sign up on our mailing list for something free. Out of the 30,000 hits that I received from that service (all same ip address ironically), I received zero sign ups. During the campaign, did 3 $5 tests in google ads. Out of 36 real visitors to the site from google adwords, we received 10 sign ups.

So, in my opinion, don't buy it.

Chris I agree and I think it's something to stay away from. The traffic won't be anything that will lead to revenue. It probably sends either some kind of robot visitor or like Tom said it's a pay to surf system.

You're stats will show the visits, but I doubt you would even make the $10 back each month.

I don't know if there's a specific program, but I see people here and on other forums offering to pay people to post on their forums. They usully require quality posts and the payout is pretty small

I just found this thread here from a few weeks ago. One of our members offers forum posting services. I have no idea if the service is good or not, but it shows the service exists.

You can try to start a post exchange with a couple of other people who are also trying to start new forums. Trade posts, like you sign up and post 10 times to their forum and they do the same for you.

This helps to create an initial group of posters and helps you avoid the necessity of either paying for posts, or talking to yourself.
