Okay. So I go to Google and do a search on "gambling". I come up with "www.gambling.com" as the first site on the list. Third (after an anti-gambling site) is "www.888.com".

My first impression is that those two sites have a style very similar to real casinos. Face cards, slot machine images, dice, flashing lights - the Works! Your site looks pretty bland by comparison.

Looks aside, you may want to check the keywords your competition is using. Maybe you can get some ideas.....

FYI, you say you've got 450 linkbacks. I tried a link check in Google and AllTheWeb. Total, assuming no duplicates, is less than 200. Add in AltaVista (still assuming no duplicates), you've still got less than 400. (Just thought you might want to know.)

As far as your ranking is concerned, does it really matter what your page rank is? Isn't it much more important to get hits and conversions of whatever sort you're looking for?

What you should be checking into is where your site ranks for your various keywords. If your site isn't showing up in the first three pages, it's going to have a definite affect on the number of visitors coming to your site.

Seems to me you need to concentrate on improving your standing with the major search engines. The higher you appear, the more visitors your should get to your site.

HTH!

One more thing. I took a look at your source code.

You might help your standings in SERPs if you add some header tags to your site, instead of using different font sizes. The major search engines often add extra weight to your keywords if they're included in header tags.

See if adding a few <H1> and <H2> tags helps your site in the results pages. It couldn't hurt!

Those people are pests and their software makes well for an overpriced nothing... I'm looking to roll out a submission company service soon, all submissions will be by hand + software with full e-mail reporting...

P.S,,,,
I'm adding a new area to BBUSA.NET... a simple little page for people who are just browsing and dont prefer ISP access just yet, so they get the chance to go link hopping... let me know if anybody wishes to join as I will need something to place on this page..

Heres the page I'm speaking of...
http://www.bbusa.net/thanku1.htm?

It will work 2 ways-
When they choose Sorry Dont Accept Here
http://www.bbusa.net/acceptpolicy.htm

And will also act as a individual page marketed on it's own..

PLEASE WE ASK NO ISP or any Internet Access related companies apply.. Web Hosting & Design, Electronics, etc..are fine.

We also ask that you accept our banner in exchange and we will also place you on the Banner Exchange service we own..

Thanks everyone...

Kevin,

Searched for pages linking to http://www.gamblersbliss.com/index.html. Results 1 - 11 of 11

Maybe you meant 450 outgoing links? Because, according to Google, you have only 11 incoming links.

query statistics for: gambling
google.com stats: 0 matched out of 500!

They say that 70% of web searches are done via Google. Your site in not listed in the top 500. How do you expect people to find you? I used keyword "gambling" since you did not mention what keyword you are most interested in targeting.

Are you listed with any gambling directories?

Do you have access to your server's raw access logs?

Where are the five hits you got, coming from?

Actually, that's 11 incoming links with a PR4 or higher. If you google for "www.gamblersbliss.com" you will see a lot more incoming links.

I thought the PR4 or better deal was regarding Google's PR toolbar and that doing a 'link' search would show all backward links
