I am needing in-put on how to market the site and any overall improvements that could be made. The concept is to keep the site as simple as possible, a directory as well as blog/rss help and tips.
I have already begun to email sites who have lists of "blog/rss directories", added to all major search engines and am thinking that getting links on blogs that are about blogs would also be beneficial.
My final task is to add an "articles library" on rss which will be done in the next week or two. Anyone will be able to add their helpful articles on blog/rss issues and marketing topics.
it takes a little while. just look for reciprocal link partners, possible buy some text links, but just keep adding links. your main goal should be to target keywords and move up in search...
If you wanta waste some time you could build as many inbound links as possible. Then look at what search terms are bringing visitors to your website. This may only be 5-10 visitors a month at first but anyway. Take that keyword and tweek the keyword density and placment on your webpage till that becomes 50-100 a month.
Then those visitors who like your website link to it, and in turn build your popularity, increasing your inbound links and bumping you up on the serps ultimitly resulting in around 500-1000 uniques a month.
Oddly enough this is acutally how I did it, dosent work for everyone but try it.
