Does anyone know where to get a free email newsletter service? I am thinking of using the free first, then when I get more members, I will pay for that.

I don't think a "service" could ever be free, you could grab a freeware script to manage bulk emailing.
If you have a small list, some services offer "free trial" subscriptions to send out emails for you, the number of contacts and emails you can send out vary. Try verticalresponse or constantcontact, you could get more from simple google search.

If it was free, every spammer would be using it to send out crap and then you'd be associated with crap right off. Free never means quality ...

I agree with guys, so i recommend that you use a web-based provider. They are easy to use and quite inexpensive. After that, you will get reports on bounces and user responses.

http://www.mailchimp.com/ now allows you to send up to 3000 non spam emails/500 subscribers per month for no cost.

If you really want a free one, you can get freeautobot.com, but you have to insert all email address, they don't allow to import email address.
