Need a way to promote my blog

submit it to directories. you can also tweet about it and post it in facebook. search for pages or groups related to your blog. join them and add more friends.. then tell them about it

Use wordpress plugins for SEO: All-in-one SEO pack, auto-twitter, auto-onlywire, etc.

Write articles linking to your blog. Submit RSS feeds to directories.

Above all, update your blog regularly. Write interesting content. Remember, content is king.

When I had a blog I got a lot of traffic simply exchanging links with other blog owners. Also submitting it to directorys and sites such as blogcatalog, bigblogcollection, bloghub etc. Post your link on social networking sites - twitter, myspace, facebook are always good for things such as blogs.

For long term success, you should constantly update your blog. Make sure that your ping list is updated and submit your blog to feedburner, etc.

If you look at all the successful blogs, they all have updated posts.
