Does anyone have any experience with SpiralHits?

I recently signed up with them and for a day or 2, their stats matched my StatCounter figures, but lately they don't at all (my account says they brought 316 visitors, but that's way more than I can see in my StatCounter right now). Moreover, I can see that "visitors" stay zero seconds, so that doesn't help at all. They say (and repeat) that these are real people, not computers pinging, but the last few days have brought many doubts for me.

I'll keep you posted as to the progress and/or matching between what they say they sent and what I actually see.

But in the meantime, if anyone has any experience using their services, please share.

but, check you logs, do you get a similar number of requests for css and image files as the main page?

If not, it's probably automated traffic.

Where are the hits coming from? All from the same set of IP addresses?

Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid I don't know what css is and my site doesn't host my images, they're hosted on another server.

The hits come from all over, however. I don't want to get in the details (you can check their site for more on "how" they generate traffic) but let's just say the URLs all start the same.

As for numbers, my account currently says they've directed 551 visits. Yesterday I posted it was 316. So my StatCounter should read at least 235. But it doesn’t come close to that – it’s 76 and I can see that some of the visitors come from elsewhere. That’s what I find most annoying.

On a completely different note, do you happen to code in MQL (Meta Quotes Language) by any chance? It’s a language used with a trading platform called MT4 (Meta Trader 4) with which you can code scripts, indicators and EAs (Expert Advisors). The platform’s free, if you want to have a look (just google MT4). The language is pretty close to C (or so my husband tells me). I have a current project in development (not fully formalized yet) and will be in need of a programmer soon.

I puchased the lowest traffic, which is 10,000 visitors (for 30$). I am getting traffic but much less than their stats show. For instance, at the end of a day, they'll show about 1500 visitors per day have come (which is what I set it to) but reality (StatCounter) shows much less than that. For yesterday, it was 389 and in that figure I can see that some visitors have come from other sources, so it's even less than that who have come from them.

Today, it's a bit more, currently at 406 at 4:33 pm.

Mind you, they DO send traffic, I can see it, but the visitors stay "less than zero seconds" (if that's possible...).

But I have to say that my visitor count is definitely up so if that's what you want (simply more hits) than it partially works. I personnally want people to at least read the beginning of my blog and then hopefully if I worked correctly, they'll read on. Now if they stay zero seconds, doesn't do me any good.

This sounds indicative of automated traffic.

Measuring time on site usually happens by using javascript to ping a server periodically. The "less than zero seconds" would indicate that these pings never happen, and javascript probably never executes.

It is the first time i am hearing of spiralhats, and the traffic stats appears bogus to say the least , Many such programs are not genuine. so i would be cautious before jumping into the bandwagon of such a startup.
