I am new to Face book and have heard people have been getting good traffic from this site.

I would like to start a trend on tips for getting traffic from face book. So if you have had good luck with face Book please share with use how you do it, and what you do to get traffic using face book

i am doing this below activities and getting some good benifit but cann't say much better.

1) Join in Relevant and High traffic Groups.
2) Create a group about your niche and post your link for everybody to see.
3) Send friend requests
4) Posting good comments
5) Be active in Groups.

there is also many ways to generate good traffics from facebook, but we need to find other right techniques.

The points Jay Paul has are brilliant, the more you stay active within facebook the more traffic you will start to see, also if you mention your link in your status every few days that will appear on your friends home page...

Sound like pritty easy stuff. As with any thing, if you water it right it will grow. Thanks for the great tips. Maybe some people could share how much traffic they are getting from facebook.

I have a new product and advertise(ed) it on Facebook and got a few hits and some sales.
But the prices of clicks has gone up quite a bit lately as I am finding that big corporates are paying way too much for me to compete. So as I am not prepared to pay high rates just to get clicks, I have stopped most of my campaigns on Facebook.

Which is a shame as it was getting hits for me, and as ours is a new product www.adovationz.co.nz it was good to have a pic in the ad.

do you get decent traffic from doing that?
and how long will it take?

I don't really do facebook but sometime I used to post my content on wall. This is like bookmarking on facebook maybe this can help generate traffic too.

The only thing I get myself busy on facebook is playing mafia wars.

I keep hoping facebook will be reasonable platform as a tool but I dont think it is all it is built up to be. Sure they have great (or so they say) pinpoint targeting capabilities, but their ad guidelines are terrible, they are ridiculously expensive, and people using facebook tend to be the least engaged to outside advertising.

i am really not into this things for getting traffic but find others reply very informative and getting idea of twitter peoples are using for generating traffic.

I am good at the social networking thing myself and personally have 20 or so profiles with 10k friends on them...I do not see a even $100 a month from facebook and with all the effort it took to get where i am its not worth it if you ask me...two thumbs down

the only people I see making any type of $$$ off of social networks is people doing ewhoring and that is not the way anyone should go.

It's just all stupidity isn't it?

These aren't "friends" They are just anonymous names who either have no life and therefore nothing better to do or dumba$$ marketing "experts" who are trying to con you into clicking their affiliate/referral links,or PTC crap etc.
