HI All,
I wondered if anyone could answer me something - I came acroos a site thats a kind of price comparison site that or a shop opf sorts that takes products athen directs the user to a shop to by these when the click vistit store (PC World, Argos etc...) -and they must receive a comission from the stores if a user buys the products ...... the site is jellydeal.co.uk .

I wondered how they got all the feeds in there for the products - is this a white label site already supplied with the information (& presumably icecat pics and descriptions) - or does anyone know anything diifferent about this sort of site?

Cheers

No, probably the owner has joined affiliate programmes, at tradedoubler or affiliate window and gets a direct product feed which she/he downloads regularly and integrates into specially built software she/he had made or more likely made themselves. I would guess.

I should probably warn you that it's usually a waste of time to do it that way. Save you the trouble. Not that I'm going to tell you a great deal about the right way to do it! Life's too short to give it ALL away!

Now that's what I would class as a good domain name, and it conjures up a Cockney market trader thought
jellydeal -> jellied eel (works for me anyway )

It would appear they have a similar operation as Kelkoo or Amazon do, but with the addition of the "comparison engine"

Suppliers upload their products to the site.

They do send you to all the same traders as the affiliate networks - I looked at the referral link and it's true it doesn't look like an affiliate link.

yeah, I've tested a bunch of products and every single one is leading to a trader you'll find on all major UK affil networks

so whatever the method is, it's all the same companies and probably the same level of income

Start with the suppliers whose products you are interested in promoting. But don't forget jellydeal has been around for 4 years and for Kelkoo it has been 10 years now. So it's not an overnight thing.

Start off with a few affiliate suppliers / dropship programs and build it up from there.
