E-mail marketing are:
- fast (one click, sent to thousands)
- inexpensive (avoid posting fees)
- They allow you to stay in touch with your customers (getting a new customer is 10times more expensive than keeping one)
- it increases your reputation (considering your e-mail blast is relevant and full of useful information)
- you can track results easily (who opened it, who clicked on it, how many people reported it as spam, how many people opted-out...)
- Studies show that people read an e-mail marketing way more than a classic mail spam
The main point you have to remember is that you have to build your contact list carefully because don't you hate those company that send you spam? Do you want your company to be viewed like that?
If the contact list is build legitimately and the content is relevant, then it's a great tool to promote your business, inform your clients about discount/special offers, events, news and so on...
Hope it helps...
